Tropical Nerds (“we”) is a small family business in Windermere, Florida. This page explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from tropicalnerds.com, and what we do with it. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- When you order: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number (if you give it) and what you bought. You check out as a guest; we don’t offer customer accounts.
- Photos you upload for a custom piece, such as Print Your Pet.
- When you join our newsletter: your email address.
- When you email us: your message and email address.
- When you browse: technical information such as your IP address and browser, kept in server and security logs.
How we use it
- To make, ship and support your order, and to email you about it.
- To send our newsletter, only if you signed up or ticked the box at checkout. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
- Photos you upload are used only to make your piece.
- To keep the site secure and free of spam.
We never sell your information.
Who helps us
We share only what’s needed with the services that run parts of the shop:
- Stripe processes card, Apple Pay and Klarna payments (Klarna also receives your details if you choose it). We never see your full card number.
- Shipping carriers receive your name and address to deliver your order.
- Amazon Web Services delivers our order emails.
- Cloudflare delivers our website and protects it, including the spam check on our sign-up form, and counts visits without cookies.
Our newsletter runs on our own server; we don’t use an outside mailing-list company.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the shop needs to work, such as remembering your cart, plus security cookies from Cloudflare and fraud-prevention cookies from Stripe at checkout. We don’t use advertising trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as we need them for the order, taxes and accounting. Photos for a custom piece are kept with your order; photos that never became part of an order are deleted automatically after two days.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected], and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
Our site is not intended for children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time; the date below shows the latest version.
